Job Title:       Graphic Designer/Digital Marketing Specialist

Department:  Marketing

Reports to:     Communications Director

FLSA Status: Full-time/Hourly/Non-exempt/Not Safety Sensitive

 

Job Summary:

Creates graphics, produces videos, and takes photos to support the marketing and promotional activities of the YAM Powersports dealerships (including Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson and GO AZ Motorcycles). Also manages Google Adwords campaigns, produces newsletters, and optimizes website content for the dealerships. Works closely with Marketing team members to ensure brand consistency while producing creative content for use in print and on dealership websites, social media and newsletters. Excels in a team environment, working collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

 

Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of professional graphic design experience
  • Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Print production skills
  • Basic HTML knowledge and HTML editor experience
  • Working knowledge of Google Adwords/PPC advertising
  • Experience with Constant Contact
  • SEO experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven environment and while coordinating input from multiple stakeholders
  • Self-starter and ability to self-manage workload, including taking initiative to propose creative projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Video filming/production/editing skills
  • Photography/photo editing skills
  • Social media experience a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with corporate, dealership and marketing and follow established procedures for review/approval of all content to ensure that all graphic/creative marketing material is in compliance with OEM requirements and marketing goals/objectives
  • Create original/adapt existing OEM graphics to promote dealership events, promotions, rides, etc.
  • Generate original photos/videos/graphic collateral to ensure content is fresh and engaging
  • Coordinate with printing vendor(s)
  • Design/produce weekly bag stuffers and weekly in-store and special event signage
  • Design/produce graphics in varying sizes/formats to be utilized on dealership websites, on social media (general posts and ads), in e-blasts/newsletters, on billboards or other advertising signage
  • Generate other print/graphic material, as needed, for marketing/promotional use
  • Provide hands-on support for larger dealership events (e.g., Bob’s Biker Blast, Arizona Bike Week, etc.), working with other staff to set up/tear down pop-ups, tables, chairs, banners, flyers, etc.
  • Attend event/marketing-related meetings, as needed
  • Create/generate other marketing-related print, graphic, photo and video material, as needed
  • Manage the Google Adwords/PPC campaigns for the dealerships, ensuring continuous ad delivery and optimizing the campaigns
  • Generate Constant Contact newsletters for all dealerships, creating both graphic and compelling text content
  • Generate written content for the dealership websites, ensuring all information is written clearly, accurately and with SEO performance in mind
  • Other duties, as necessary

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently works on a computer in a typical office environment
  • Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily indoors, but sometimes required to work outdoors in support of events
  • May be required to work odd, unusual or extended hours
  • Noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud (e.g., bands, motorcycles, etc.)
  • Potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning solvents or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle storage department
  • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles
