Assistant Parts Manager (HDOS)
Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Assistant Parts Manager to join our team. This position supports the Parts Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Parts Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving departmental profitability.
The Assistant Parts Manager helps lead department staff, supports inventory management efforts, assists with merchandising and sales initiatives, and serves as a resource for both customers and service technicians. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership skills, parts and inventory experience, and a passion for the powersports industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Parts Department.
- Support inventory control, stocking levels, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely fulfillment of parts requests.
- Assist customers with parts and accessory purchases while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Help train, coach, and develop Parts Department team members.
- Monitor department performance and assist in achieving sales and profitability goals.
- Assist with merchandising, displays, promotions, and seasonal sales initiatives.
- Ensure the department remains clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
- Help manage special orders, backorders, and vendor relationships.
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Parts Manager.
- Support dealership policies, procedures, and operational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of parts, inventory, retail, automotive, or powersports experience.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of motorcycle, powersports, automotive, or related parts preferred.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Ability to occasionally balance, move, or push motorcycles weighing 600+ pounds with assistance.
